This product is a water softener which can control and operate automatically with FILECK and AUTOTROL controller. It can soften the water to meet the requirement and can be widely used as pretreatment device industrial, civil and commercial areas where softened water was necessary. These fields include boiler water supply, cooling water, chemical industry, steel smelter, water supply of textile, printing and dyeing, laundry, food, and pure water.

Water softening theory—sodium ion exchange
Softener adopts the principle of ion exchange, uses the sodium ion exchange resin to absorb the calcium ions and magnesium ions in the water, and release sodium ions to the water. The equation of water softening is: (R stands for resin)
2RNa+Ca2+=-R2Ca+2Na+ 2RNa+Mg2+=R2Mg+2Na+
After the treatment with sodium salt solution, the calcium, magnesium ions saturated resin can be regenerated. The regeneration process is:
R2Ca+2NaCl=2RNa+CaCl2 R2Mg+2NaCl=2RNa+MgCl2
The repeat of the forward and backward ion exchange can make the softening water continuously produce.
Operation process of the automatic softener:
The generation of automatic softener can initiate according to the time and flow. The operation process can be divided into the following steps:
A operation (work)
Under certain pressure the water flow through the valve of the controller, enter tank with ion exchanger resin. The sodium ion in the resin will exchange with the ion in the water and make the concentration of calcium ions and magnesium ions in the outflow meet the requirement.
B back washing
After the failure of resin and before the regeneration, the back washing should carry out. There are two aims for the back washing; one is making the resin layer become loose and making the contact between the solid and liquid easier; the other is washing out the suspended solids on the surface of the resin and ensuring the flow resistance will not become bigger.
C regeneration
Under certain concentration and flow, use the salt solution to flow through the resin layer and recover the exchange capacity of the resin.
D replacement (slow cleaning)
Under the flow rate less or equal to the flow rate of the salt solution, use clean water to wash the resin. The slow cleaning can reduce the load of fast cleaning.
E washing (fast cleaning)
Purpose is to remove residual liquid in the regenerative resin layer. Do the washing until the outflow is qualified.
F water feeding of the regeneration tank
Feed enough salt solution into the regeneration tank.
